Category Manager

Responsibility :

Maintain a continuous and cost effective supply of goods and services
necessary to support Bank Danamon�s business activities in accordance
with Expense & Procurement Policy Manual (Policy).

� Reduce total cost for the managed categories while improving or
maintaining
service level and the overall quality of items purchased and services.

� Provide an improvement in standardization of materials,
supplies, equipment, service and procedures

Job description :

� Conduct strategic sourcing for products/services in
respective category
� Analyze, visit, negotiate and select suppliers with approval
from Head of Procurement
� Align and standardize specifications � recommend
specification improvement to end-users
� Develop contract with guidance from Head of Procurement
� Develop and manages supply base with input from internal
customers (Manage SLA)
� Actively seeks out feedback from end-users to ensure
satisfactory service level
� Acts as a central point of expertise and knowledge regarding
procurement techniques,
� cost structure of industry, supplier and product/services
� Constantly monitors supply market dynamic and identifies
savings opportunities

Qualification :

� Education :
Bachelor�s degree with strong technical and/or procurement experience
in category

� Skill Requirements :
- Analytical : Deep understanding of the supply market and
category spend drivers

- Strategic planning : Ability to develop tailored strategies
for the categories managed

- Negotiation : Capacity to plan, manage, and involved
necessary support for a negotiations effort

- Technical : Profound category understanding/expertise
- Teamwork : Strong teamwork skills required for
facilitation/interfacing role within a specific sourcing category

- Managerial capabilities : Solid management skills to
interact effectively within the procurement team, end, users and Business
Units

- Change management : Able to gain cooperation in implementing
significant change in systems, practices, and procedures

- Language skills : Fluency in Bahasa and English is essential
